How do I create or amend a personalised message template for sending invoices and quotes?

Who can use this feature

Important: You need a Mettle+ subscription to use this feature.

How to change your message

  1. Go to the screen for your quote or invoice.

  2. Tap ‘Edit message’ to change the wording.

  3. Tap ‘Save message’ when you are finished.

Use automatic details

The app can automatically pull in details from your document. These include:

  • Client name.

  • Quote or invoice number.

  • Total amount.

  • Your business name.

If you want to remove these, use the backspace key to delete them. To add them back, tap the text box and select ‘Insert from quote / invoice’.


Set a default message

You can save your wording so you don't need to change it every time.

  1. Tap the ‘Save as default message?’ check box.

  2. Select ‘Save message’.

  3. This wording will now show on all your future quotes and invoices.
