How do I create or amend a personalised message template for sending invoices and quotes?

You can review the message on this screen and if you wish to change the wording then you can go to ‘Edit message’ to update the body of text.

The message will include dynamic elements that pull in key information from the quote. This includes:

  • Client name

  • Quote / invoice number

  • Amount

  • Mettle customer name

You can use the backspace key to remove the dynamic element and change the words to plain text which you can then edit as required.

If you wish to add a dynamic element back you can select ‘Insert from quote / invoice’ which will show when you have tapped anywhere within the message body text box. You'll then be able to choose which dynamic element you want to add back into the message.

Once you're done, select ‘Save message’.

If you wish to save the changes to the wording for all quotes / invoices then you should select the ‘Save as default message?’ check box and then tap ‘Save message’.
