When you have an active connection to FreeAgent, Mettle will share category and receipt information to make your accounting easier.
There are a small number of cases where Mettle cannot save categories in FreeAgent and we will let you know when this happens so that you can make sure your FreeAgent accounts stay up to date. These cases include:
Some categories (including Bill payments, Credit note refunds, Payments to users and Transfers to other accounts) which require you to add additional information in FreeAgent before the explanation can be saved.
If you have deleted a category or edited the category name in FreeAgent the standard category will still show in Mettle but it will not be shared with FreeAgent if selected for a transaction.
In all of these cases you can go to FreeAgent and explain the transaction there.
