Yes. If you want to be set up with a new Mettle bank account we’ll need to switch you over.
To begin the switch process, go to the Account tab in the Mettle app and tap ‘Switch to our new bank account and you could get between £50 and £1,000’. If you can’t see this option, it’s not available to you yet.
We’re working on making this available to all customers, so please keep checking the app to see when you can switch.
If the switch is available to you, you’ll need to do the following things beforehand:
- You’ll need to be on the latest version of our app to switch. Head to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to see if your app needs updating
- Download your transaction history and statements before you switch, in case you need them after your e-money account has been closed
After you’ve switched over you’ll need to:
- Set up any regular payments again with your new bank account and debit card details
- Recreate any pots you’ve set up
- Issue new invoices that contain your new bank account details. Old invoices won’t be transferred to your new account
- Reconnect to your accounting software such as Quickbooks and Xero
