How to pay in money without a cheque

Find ways to deposit funds, add cash, or receive bank transfers when you cannot use a paper slip, voucher, or cheque.

Ways to get your money

We do not accept cheques. If you have a cheque, you can try these options to get your money:

  1. Ask the person who sent the cheque to change the name to your personal name so you can pay it into another account.

  2. Ask the sender to cancel the cheque and pay you a different way, such as a bank transfer.

  3. Deposit cash at a Post Office instead.

Adding cash at the Post Office

You can pay cash into your account at any Post Office branch.

  • You can add between £10 and £500 per day.

  • You need to have your debit card with you.

  • The money will usually show in your account quickly.

Note: Bank transfers are often the fastest way to receive money if a sender cannot pay you in cash.
