If you are sent an international payment in a currency other than GBP then we may need to convert the payment for you into GBP so that the money can be paid into your Mettle account.
If we convert the currency ourselves, we will use the mid-market exchange rate (sometimes referred to as the interbank rate) and then also apply our 1.5% fee on top of this.
If a payment is sent to you in a currency other than GBP, it is possible that the sending bank, or another bank in the chain handles the currency conversion. The rate used by these banks may vary, but we’ll always show you on the transaction in the app. In these scenarios, only the £4 fixed fee would apply, if the transaction is above £10.
