A new bank account will be created once the switch has been completed, with a new sort code and account number. If you are sent a payment to your e-money account while we’re switching you over to your new Mettle bank account, the payment will automatically be sent to your new account.

Any funds paid into your old account after the upgrade will automatically return to the sender.
