How to change the name on your account

Provide proof of identity to update your personal details. Learn which documentation we accept to edit your profile and get a new card.

Changing your name

To update the name on your account, you need to provide a clear photo of one of these documents:

  • Passport (in your new name)

  • Birth certificate showing your new name

  • Driving licence (in your new name)

  • Marriage certificate (certified copy)

  • Deed poll

  • Decree absolute (certified copy)

  • Statutory declaration (certified copy)

Note: If you use a passport or driving licence, the details or address must match what we already have on file.

How to send your document

  • Take a clear photograph or scan of the document

  • Make sure the image shows all four corners of the page

    Send the file to us through the app

Getting your new card

When we update your name, we will cancel your current card. We will send a new card to your address. This usually arrives within five working days.

Important: You must activate your new card in the ‘Account’ screen of the app before you can use it.
