How to fix an ‘Import pending’ status in FreeAgent

Resolve sync delays with your accounting feed. Fix stuck bank connections and refresh your data link if transactions are not showing.

If you're connecting to FreeAgent using their ‘Enable Bank Feed’ journey, your account shows as ‘Import pending’ until you finish the connection in the Mettle app.

How to finish your connection

  • Scan the QR code shown in FreeAgent

  • Answer the questions in the Mettle app

  • Wait for the ‘Success’ screen to appear in your app

Once you finish these steps, go back to FreeAgent. Your bank feed status will now show as active.

What to do if the status stays as ‘import pending’

If the status doesn't change, try refreshing your web browser. If it's still stuck, you may need to reconnect your feed.

How to reconnect your feed

  • Select your Mettle account in FreeAgent

  • Tap ‘More’ in the top right corner

  • Select ‘Disable bank feed

  • Start the connection process again from the start

Note: You must finish all the steps in the Mettle app for the data to flow into FreeAgent.
