The account details you provide to the person or business who is trying to pay you will be CoP checked against the actual name held on your account. All of your information is shared and held in highly secure systems that adhere to financial regulations.

Because Mettle accounts are backed by NatWest, we’re aligning ourselves to their system, which is called NatWest Boxed. This means we’ve needed to make a change to our Confirmation of Payee (CoP) process.

Now when a person or business tries to pay you and a CoP check is performed, instead of the Mettle logo and name appearing on the security page, it will instead display a NatWest logo and the name ‘NatWest Boxed’.
