You can apply for a Mettle account even if you haven't started trading yet. You don't need to show a trading history or proof of trade to open your account.
To set up your account, you just need your Companies House Company Registration Number (CRN) and your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR).
If your company is new, you don't need to provide invoices, contracts, or bank statements to prove your business activity straight away.
Important: You need to show us proof of trading within six months of opening your account. If you don't provide this in time, we'll contact you to discuss next steps.
