Mettle supports a type of Variable Recurring Payment (VRP) called a ‘sweeping’ payment.
How sweeping payments work
Sweeping payments let you move money between two bank accounts that you own. To use this, both accounts must be in the same name or belong to the same legal entity.
How to set up a sweeping payment
Find a third-party provider (TPP) that offers sweeping services
Link your Mettle account to the provider’s app using Open Banking
Give the provider your permission to move money on your behalf
Note: You can only use VRPs for ‘me-to-me’ transfers.
Important: You can see or cancel your linked apps at any time by going to ‘Connections’ in the ‘Account’ section of your app.
